  1. Ability to detach a subtask and turn it into a standalone task.

When working on a large-scale project spanning several days and involving many subtasks, it can be helpful to detach one of these subtasks and convert it into an independent task, scheduled for the current day.

  2. Remove the hover animation / transition for quick buttons (break, pause, done)

The transition animation was fun at first, but often I find myself using these, which changes the size of the hover button and position of all the buttons, which adds friction to the click and my thought process as i need to re-confirm and re-position. This is especially true when moving the mouse over several - which can expand, conract, and move. If this was stable, with only a tooltip instead (if we still need these) then the position and expectation is deterministic. I can click quickly nav and do the thing i need to do.

  3. Webhook Integration

For most integration you will probably use webhooks to do them. It would be helpful if you could make a Webhook API (which you will probably use and have anyway) and give us the chance to make custom webhooks. This would make integrations possible to get or send data from other 3rd party apps. With a Custom Webhook component we could use any automation tool like make.com or zapier.com, as well as other WebApps that want to create support for it. I think this can be a big leaver to make your app accessable in many other Situations.

  4. Focus mode (with timer) in the menu bar instead of floating on screen

Would love to see focus mode collapse into menu bar so it doesn't take up real estate.

  5. Connect everyting: API needed

For the future of work, especially with AI agents, an API is must-have. Webhook is a step towards the right direction but an API should be on the roadmap as soon as possible!!!

  6. Ability to add tags to the task

When I create multiple tasks in terms of one project, I would like to have the ability to segment tasks with some tasks (e.g. when I develop a single application, I would like to split tasks into backend, frontend, marketing, etc.) for more clarity

  7. Automatically continue timer after hitting goal

When the timer hits the time estimated the timer automatically stops. This doesn't make any sense to me. Instead it should continue to track time and play some unique sounds when you're over timeβ€”but I need to accurately log my time and I will never stop my work just because the "timer" is up. I almost never hit on "target," I'm either over or under.

  10. Pause timer on MacBook sleep

How should work: When closing the lid of the MacBook, the timer should pause automatically. Actual: When closing the lid of the MacBook, the timer unpins and stops, so when you open it and resume the timer, it starts from 0

  11. Live Activities in Mobile app

The addition of a Lock Screen Live Activities widget to the upcoming Blitzit mobile app would be a game-changer. This feature would allow users to see their active focus mode tasks and timer at a glance without having to unlock their phone or open the app. Benefits I see in Live Activities integration: Seamless Productivity: Users can stay on track with their tasks and focus timers right from the Lock Screen. Faster Access: Reduces the friction of constantly opening the app to check progress. Increased Engagement: Encourages users to stay in the flow by keeping their current task visible at all times. This would be especially useful for those using the Pomodoro technique or time-tracking features. I believe it would enhance the overall user experience and make Blitzit even more intuitive for mobile users! A mock-up is attached of what it could potentially look like. LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

  13. Email Forwarding with Smart Task Extraction

I would love to see Blitzit introduce an email forwarding feature that not only adds emails as tasks but also intelligently extracts key details to make them actionable. This would be especially useful for users managing tasks on the go, turning important emails into structured to-dos without manual input. Benefits: β€’ Smart Task Creation: Automatically converts emails into actionable tasks by extracting key details like deadlines, links, and priorities. β€’ On-the-Go Productivity: Users can forward emails to Blitzit from any device, ensuring tasks are captured instantly. β€’ Reduced Inbox Clutter: Keeps emails organized by moving actionable items into Blitzit rather than leaving them buried in the inbox. This would be a great way to streamline workflows, making Blitzit even more indispensable for busy professionals!

  14. ClickUp field mapping

I would like to be able to selectively map fields from Blitzit to Click-up. Example: Time Estimate -> Time Estimate or Time Estimate -> Time Worked Also I would like custom states, example 'Done' one my side will set the original task to "QC Review" (a custom state we made in click-up - which is not a done state) which lets us pass a task back and forth between contributors instead of having to setup complex dependencies and constantly create new subtasks for feedback.

  15. 'Buttons' during a blitz jumpy, feel like I'm chasing them down with cursor - frustrating UX

the Done, Skip, Notes, Pause, Break - shifting between them all causes them to jump away from my cursor constantly. Crazy frustrating
